On Sunday 14th April nearly 600 runners took part in Bourne Rotary Club’s annual ‘Run in the Woods’, sponsored by Polyco Healthline.
From children as young as five up to parents and grandparents, runners competed along the trails of Bourne woods with the winner, 16-year-old Samuel Staines, finishing in a time of just 10 minutes 15 seconds. 33 seconds shorter than the previous record.
Event organiser Tony Anders said “We had 590 entrants to the 3k and 10k races combined, making this our biggest ‘Run in the Woods’ to date which raised more than £7500 for the work we do in the local community. Being able to raise this substantial amount was made possible by our main sponsor, Polyco Healthline."
