As part of our ongoing commitment to reducing our environmental impact, we’re pleased to outline our carbon offset activity, aligned with our Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions.

FY24/25, we took a proactive approach to carbon offsetting, supporting a range of verified projects around the world that not only reduce emissions but also create real social and environmental benefits. We’ve partnered again with Carbon Footprint to make sure every project is independently verified and delivers measurable impact.

Rather than focusing on just one initiative, we’ve spread our offsets across three projects. This allows us to tackle a wider range of global challenges - from restoring ecosystems to improving health and access to clean energy.

Our sustainability approach: phAMBITION

Our carbon offsetting activity is part of our wider sustainability journey, phAMBITION - our long-term programme that embeds sustainability into every aspect of our business, driving meaningful change for people and the planet.

These principles guide how we minimise our environmental impact while creating positive change across our business and supply chain.

phAMBITION also aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, focusing on carbon reduction, waste minimisation, sustainable materials and responsible supply chains.

Carbon offsetting plays an important role in this journey - helping us take responsibility for emissions we haven’t yet eliminated, while we continue working towards long-term reduction targets.

The projects we’re supporting

Restoring grasslands in China

Our first project focuses on bringing degraded grasslands back to life. So far, it has successfully restored 261,059.8 hectares of land. This work not only captures more carbon but also supports local communities and enhances biodiversity across the region.

Safe drinking water in Sierra Leone

Access to clean drinking water is essential. This project reduces CO₂ emissions by removing the need to boil water over open fires and provides sanitised water, while also delivering major health and social benefits for local communities.

Clean cookstoves in India

Many households rely on traditional cooking methods. This project provides improved cookstoves that reduce fuel use, lower emissions, and improve indoor air quality, creating a healthier home environment for families.

Our impact

Across these three projects, we’ve offset a total of 94 tonnes of CO₂, cutting carbon emissions while supporting local communities and restoring natural habitats.

What’s next?

Carbon offsetting is just one part of our wider sustainability journey. Through phAMBITION, we’re focused on cutting emissions wherever we can, while using verified offsets to take responsibility for the emissions we haven’t yet been able to eliminate.
